The European Day of Languages in Algimantas Mackus gymnasium

The European Day of Languages is held on 26 September. This year our school has also done an event to mark this day and it was called ,,Olympics of Languages”. The main point of this competition was to represent and to fight for chosen language. There was Lithuanian, Russian, German and obviously English languages. The points were counted for representation of language, costumes, support for team and basketball games.

After all the matches and counted points the result showed that in our gymnasium strongest is native Lithuanian language (represented by 2nd Bg class). Second was German language (8b) and third was English (1st Ag class).

This event has shown that students of school still didn’t forget about how important language is and for those who forgot, other students reminded.
